Trauma through a Child's Eyes - Helping Kids Heal with SE

An Intensive workshop, covering infancy to adolescence
with Peter A Levine and Maggie Kline

In this special workshop Peter and Maggie will guide the participants in learning strategies and tools to work with children of all ages. We will explore both the prevention of trauma, as will as helping traumatized children recover. Particular areas that will be explored are perinatal stress and birth trauma, early attachment and self-regulation problems, invasive medical procedures, automobile accidents, falls, natural disasters, experiencing or witnessing violence, sexual molestation, and loss of loved ones (including death of pets, siblings, parents, and divorce). We will also look at approaches for utilizing art and play and in working with groups including neighborhood or classroom milieus. Participants will also have some opportunity to ask case questions.

This workshop is available to SEP's and to students who will have completed their Intermediate level training by the date of the workshop.
