| Workshop An Intensive workshop, covering infancy to adolescence In this special workshop Peter Levine and Maggie Kline will guide participants in learning strategies and tools to work with children of all ages. They will explore the prevention of trauma, as will as helping traumatized children recover. Particular areas to be explored include perinatal stress and birth trauma, early attachment and self-regulation problems, invasive medical procedures, automobile accidents, falls, natural disasters, experiencing or witnessing violence, sexual molestation, and loss of loved ones (including death of pets, siblings, parents, and divorce). They will also look at approaches for utilizing art and play and in working with groups, including neighborhood or classroom milieus. Participants will have some opportunity to ask case questions. |
