The Executive Director of FHE must be a results-driven manager with proven leadership skills.
She/he must have at least 5 years of senior management experience that includes: nonprofit management
or governance experience; board relations; financial management; fundraising; grant writing; strategic
planning; project coordination and implementation; administrative and professional staff supervision,
and community relations. An undergraduate degree is required, and an advanced degree is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have experience with an educational organization, whether as an educator
or administrator.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be self-motivated, be an excellent communicator, exhibit
strong ethics and have the ability to handle a multitude of demanding tasks simultaneously.
The FHE Executive Director will be the public face for the Foundation, and will lead the
organization through a period of growth while managing the resource development and administrative
needs of that expansion.
