The Requirements for an Group Case Consultant at the Advanced Level:

Group case consultations include elements of the teaching function. Special attention was given in establishing criteria at this level of approval.

Group case consultants are expected to have related teaching and/or group consultation and leadership experience in a related field.

• Must have a minimum of 7 years experience in an active SE practice (this may include the time spent in the SE training)
• Must have given a minimum of 20 group case consults at the Intermediate level
• Maximum number of participants in a non-faculty led group consult is 10
• We have added the requirement in the training that at least 1/3 of group consults must be with a faculty member (in the US that means 6 consults)
• Those giving group case consults must receive consults from faculty
• Must have a faculty recommendation from 2 faculty members
• For group case consultations counting towards an SEP certificate and noted on a Session Log, providers and SE Trauma Institute™ faculty agree to provide group consults to participants at a maximum rate of $75 per person. A three hour group case consultation equals 1 hour of credit for groups of 3 or more.

Applicants will then receive a status letter via email, which authorizes them to provide case consults.  This letter may be presented to local organizers or faculty as proof of students’ authorization to provide case consults.
