Participants are STRONGLY encouraged to enroll and stay with one group. If you must switch to a new location or take a class out of order, you MUST receive prior approval from the primary instructor and the new instructor. The SE® training was designed by Dr. Levine as a three-year training for many reasons. SE® requires time to process and integrate fully and fast-tracking does not provide for this.
The FHE allows for one video substitution in the Beginning year and one video substitution in the Intermediate year. In order to advance to the next class in a series, you must complete the course that is missed by taking it on video. The FHE does not allow for video substitution in the Advanced year.
For session tapes (which are the only tapes we have that are rentals) this is allowable. For classes, this is not allowed! The cost of the program is consistent for each participant, whether taking live or on video.
Each Beginning & Intermediate class consists of 24 hours of course instruction time. Advanced courses consist of 36 hours of course instruction time. Training times vary from location to location, depending on training facility availability. Typical class times are 10 a.m.-6p.m., with sufficient time for lunch. Please check the training schedule for your class time.
If a participant is enrolled in a class and misses a portion of the class, it will be the participant's responsibility to obtain notes from classmates or purchase the full set of DVD's from FHE for $100. Although your individual class may be videotaped, the FHE will provide you with a DVD of a recent professionally taped course. You will not receive your exact course on video.
The Foundation for Human Enrichment is an approved provider of Continuing Education by The National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), California Board of Behavioral Science (CBBS), National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), California Board of Registered Nurses (CABRN), National Association of Social Workers (NASW), and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
It is up to each individual to find out if their own governing organization recognizes approval from these agencies.
Trainings are typically held in hotels, retreat centers, community centers, adult education centers or university continuing education facilities. On some occasions, professionals offer their offices or studios as training centers. The FHE reserves only ADA compliant facilities, or centers that offer easy accessibility for all participants.
NO. Participants cannot receive credit toward their requirements for demos done in class. This is an invaluable part of our training program and participants are encouraged to participate in demonstrations, but they cannot count toward meeting the personal session hour requirements.
Participants must receive case consultations from an approved consultation provider.
Participants will receive 1 hour of credit for a 3 hour group case consultation including
3 or more persons. For individual case consultations, a 1 hour consult constitutes 1 hour
of credit.
If two or more participants are working with the exact same client(s) in the case consult,
it can be counted on a 1:1 ratio as an individual case consult (1 hour individual for each
hour of group). If two participants are sharing one consultation, 1 hour of credit can be
granted to each only if that consultation is at least 1-1/2 hours in length.
